BAMB-U

At bamb-u, our aim is to ethically make, premium quality, sustainable products that will turn heads, while give something back at the same time. That’s why, with every product sold, we plant 7 trees in countries affected by deforestation.

Our watches are made from sustainably farmed, premium A-grade bamboo and have high quality components.

Why did we choose bamboo and not wood to make our products? While we think wooden products look beautiful, the sustainability of wooden products was too questionable for us. The types of timbers used in the production of many wooden watches and sunglasses are on endangered and or black lists. So for us it was an ethical choice. Not to mention that bamboo is such an awesome product.

Benefits of bamboo: Bamboo needs little to no water to grow. There is no need for the use of fertilisers or pesticides. Bamboo regenerates it’s self after being harvested and grows to full size within 4 years, not 40 years like most hardwoods. Bamboo is very durable and lightweight which makes our products extra comfortable. By using bamboo, we are helping communities that have otherwise failed crops make a proper living by farming bamboo.

One Another

The seed for One Another was planted after our trip to India where we had been working with not-for-profit Opportunity International.

After witnessing first-hand the harsh realities of living in poverty, we knew we had to do something. On our return, we decided to do something tangible and embraced the entrepreneurial spirit of the women in India by launching our own ethical label.

With our backgrounds in graphic design, photography and fashion, we knew we wanted to combine our love of design with the traditional artisan techniques of the women to create products that not only look good but do good!

We currently work with four collectives, that combined provides work for over 30 women. These women may be widowed or have parents too sick to work, we provide fair pay, safe and clean working conditions and the option to work at home, should they need to care for their family. This simple thing which we take for granted, empowers the women to rise above poverty to dream new dreams for themselves and their families.

Our range focuses on texture and embraces the unique qualities of producing everything by hand. The perfect embroidery is hand stitched in India, the beautiful loop weaving and woven bowls are from South Africa, the hand loomed wool throws are from near the Nepal border and the braided cushions are hand made by women rescued from trafficking in Bangladesh.

When you buy something from One Another, you're not just buying a cushion or a throw because behind every product is a person and your purchase does make a difference.

We know that we aren't going to change the world but we know that we can change the lives of these women, one cushion, throw and clutch at a time.

 Aden and Anis

our story we believe in muslin.

From the breathability and natural give to the softness and durability, we aim to bring global awareness of cotton muslin and all of its benefits. The overwhelming response to our signature muslin products from parents, nurses, paediatricians, industry experts, lactation consultants, and even celebrities has been incredible.

We believe in simplifying the lives of parents and caregivers. Parenthood is a blessing but can also be very overwhelming. This is why we create products that are as versatile and useful as they are beautiful. Our swaddles work as pram blankets, tummy time blankets, changing pad covers and more. Our bibs double as burp cloths. Our serenity star is a five-function-in-one multi-tasking nursery must. Anything we can do to make a baby safe and comfortable, and a parent's life easier, equals a job well done for us.

We believe in safety. Safety is kept top of mind when developing our product range. Each and every product goes through a rigorous course of testing before hitting the market—including tests by Raegan on her four girls. Whether it’s through eliminating loose blankets in the cot with sleeping bags, knowing the correct way to swaddle or removing all harsh ingredients from our skin care lines, we strive to make sure our brand influences families to build the safest environments for their baby.
